Beth Am Trip to Uganda

Travel with Rabbis Daniel & Miriam Burg

Part 1: February 3-12, 2026 | Part 2: February 12-16, 2026

Most travelers who visit Uganda do so to encounter the population of mountain gorillas that dwell in the country’s western forests. Indeed, Uganda’s wildlife is it its greatest natural resource. Yet the cultures of Uganda are also beautiful, engaging, and delightful to visitors who have the opportunity to connect deeply. Rabbis Daniel and Miriam Burg had the opportunity to visit the Abayudaya Jewish community last year and felt moved by their experience. They are eager to share this trip with the Beth Am congregation to connect with both the culture and nature of Uganda.

Visit villages and make personal connections. Witness wildlife and see African animals. Encounter chimpanzees and gorillas in their natural habitats. Join a transformative group journey to see Judaism and life through new eyes.
